Hey, It’s Laura…

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”
(Psalm 139:13–14)

This verse has been a steady anchor in my life—and it captures the heart of my mission: You were created on purpose, with purpose.

I’m Laura Roland, a Certified Catholic Motivation Strategist + Coach.

As a former Catholic educator, administrator, and assistant superintendent, I spent years pouring into work that mattered deeply, but still found myself wrestling with questions I couldn’t quite name:
Why does this feel off? Why am I so frustrated—so often? Why can’t I shake the sense that something’s missing?

Despite being competent, committed, and faithful, I couldn’t explain the growing disengagement I felt in both my professional and volunteer roles.

Then I experienced the MCode Assessment as part of a mentor formation program—and everything shifted.

It gave me language for what had always driven me and clarity about what was draining me. I finally understood how I was uniquely wired, what energized me, and why some parts of my work felt like a constant uphill climb.

That insight became a turning point—and a calling.

Today, I coach individuals, leaders, teams, and Catholic educators to help them discover how they’re wired—so they can lead with clarity, live with intention, and make decisions that align with who they truly are.

This isn’t a surface-level program; it is deep, transformational work rooted in identity, motivation, and vocation—designed to meet you right where you are, helping you move forward with purpose and sustainability.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

I’m a cradle Catholic and a woman on a journey—continually growing in faith, purpose, and the calling to live an integrated, intentional life.

When I’m not coaching, speaking, or guiding leaders and teams, you’ll find me writing. I currently host two blogs: You.By Design™, where I explore motivation, identity, and leadership through a practical and faith-informed lens and This Woman’s Journey, written straight from the heart. It’s a space for women who are navigating transition, asking deeper questions, and longing to live a life that reflects both grace and grit.

Stay tuned—there’s probably another blog coming soon, specifically for Catholic educators. Because once an educator, always an educator.

When I’m not working, I’m with my greatest joy: my family.

My husband Matthew and I have been married for 35 years (and counting!). We’re blessed with three children, two incredible in-law kids, and a growing number of grandchildren who light up our lives and keep us laughing.
